Peace. Presence. Passion.
Peace. Presence. Passion.
With your generous support and contributions we can restore our church's beautiful architecture and preserve our rich history. Thank you for your donation.
The half-bust statue is of the Patron Saint, Costanzo. It was made in the 1700s, paid for by contributions by the bishop, the public food office, and citizens as can be read on the epigraph sculpted on its base. On the breast, there is a reliquary of the saint coming from the Benedictine abbey of Montevergine where his mortal remains are preserved.
Inside this reliquary sits a cupboard in glided wood holding jars of ashes dating back to the 1400s. This is the most special and unique aspect in the church.
We love our patrons, so please feel free to stop by during our regular hours.
